Triangl Part Two

I got a second Triangl suit right before leaving for Vegas earlier in 2014. This time around I wanted to go for a different style so I got the Twiggy Stardust. The fact that it almost looks like leather (black leather is my fave) made it an easy choice for me.

At first I thought I would just get the same sizes that I got when I ordered the Chloe style (I chose large for both the top and bottom based on the size charts on Triangl's site) but after speaking to a rep on the live chat, I chose to go with a medium top and a large bottom. After receiving my suit, I think I could have easily gone with a small top and medium bottoms. The top is still a bit big for my small boobs (34B) and the bottoms for this style seem to run a bit bigger and have more coverage than the other pair that I have and don't even sit right against my body in all spots. Looking back, I probably could have sized down when I ordered the Chloe style as well. I found that the bottoms felt a bit loose as I was playing around in the waves of Mexico (for reference, I am usually about a US 6 in bottoms).

Since this one doesn't fit all that well I find that I don't wear it much. I think I will get the straps on the top shortened so that it fits better and hopefully I will get a bit more use out of it. Overall, I think I like the top of the Twiggy Stardust and the bottoms of the Chloe Minnesota Marl the best. The bottoms just seem to fit better and the bralette style top is more flattering on my chest.

I'm not sure if I will end up getting another Triangl suit. I tend to reach for other brands when choosing a bikini lately but if I do choose to get one it will likely be one of the two above (Tilly Sunburst on the left and Penny Wanderlust on the right). I know people who have both of these and they are pretty cute in real life. I'm not a huge fan of super bright colours so most of the new ones don't interest me all that much.

PS, I'm always looking for different brands for cute bathing suits so if anybody has any recommendations please let me know! :)

Trying This Again...

So apparently I suck at having a blog. I started this blog almost a year and a half ago with the intention that I would post regularly and that has not happened. Like at all. But here I am on Christmas Day, sitting in the guest room at my parent's house, bored out of my mind (my family's festivities are usually focused more on Christmas Eve), thinking maybe I should start back up.

Highly filtered picture of my mini (it's only 4 feet tall) Christmas tree that I put up in my place. Please ignore the ugly bent up blinds.

Lately my whole life just seems to revolve around traveling. My Christmas list was filled with things I wanted for upcoming trips. I spend most of my free time researching travel destinations. As I'm sitting here writing this, my family members are even packing their suitcases for a trip to Arizona without me (I have to go back to work in two days so I am not able to go to the States with them. Got to say I'm a little bit jealous but I know that I need to make money so that I'm able to pay for my upcoming trips).

So on that note, with so much travel on my mind, I am going to try this whole blog thing again. I've gone a few different places within the last year and a half and have a whole lot more planned for the coming few months so hopefully this time I'll actually stick to it and can honestly say that there is more posting to come!

Triangl Swimwear

In light of my upcoming trip to Mexico, I was scouring the internet looking for new bathing suits. I didn't want to go with Victoria's Secret as that's pretty much the only suits girls in this area wear and I wanted something a little different. I was looking on Pinterest one day and came across this picture:

I love black and white so this immediately caught my eye. I typed in the website that was under the pin and was instantly in love. Triangl is a brand based out of Australia that makes all of their suits out of neoprene, the material that wetsuits are made of. They have a few different styles but the 'Chloe' fit that is in the picture was my favorite. The bikinis are all decently priced as well at just $79.00USD for the set! Although it was the white 'Indiana Ice' that first caught my eye, I decided to go with 'Minnesota Marle', a really cool grey color. I just figured I would get the white one dirty way too quickly and possibly ruin it somehow so grey was a safer bet.

This is just a quick picture I snapped of it but I am completely in love with it! I am fit and in decent shape but in no way have the perfect body and this suit is extremely flattering. I'm not sure if it is the thicker fabric or just the cut of it but it's great. I was unsure of sizes when placing my order so I went off of the size chart on the Triangl website and everything worked out great. I was between the medium and large for the bottoms but just asked one of the Triangl girls on their live chat function and she told me to go with the bigger size. I got large in both the top and bottom and usually take a medium or sometimes small in other brands. The shipping was crazy fast as well. I ordered it on a Friday morning and it was on my doorstep when I got home from school Wednesday evening. I'm super excited to get to wear it on my trip. I definitely want to get more, especially this 'New York Noir' one.

I highly recommend checking them out if you are looking for a new bathing suit!

I've always loved traveling. Every little thing about it. Ever since I can remember, I have been completely in love with going new places. Although I have had this desire to travel going as far back as I can remember, I haven't gotten the chance to really go many places. Sure I've traveled a little bit around the nice little country I call home (aka Canada), but I can't really say I've had the opportunity to experience many other countries and their cultures'. And it is one thing I definitely want to change.

When I was approximately 10 years old I got an idea in my head of exactly what I wanted to be when I grew up and it stuck with me for a long time. I went through high school, took certain classes, made sure my grades were up to par, and made my post-secondary decisions completely based on this idea. And then of course, two years into university or half way through completing my degree, I decided that actually I didn't really want to be doing that for the rest of my life. I'm now just about to go into my fourth and final year of university and I have no idea what exactly I want to do with my degree. It's a little bit scary for me, not having a plan. I have definitely had some mini panic attacks over the past year about it and my friends can attest to that. With less than a year away from completely being done school, I have decided that my plan for once I'm done is going to be to travel. To see new places and try new things while I'm still young and have nothing tying me down to one place. Because really, if you don't know where you are going, any road will get you there.
